Parish of Monzievaird and Strowan

Monzievaird and Strowan is a parish, which lies in Perth and Kinross Council Area, some 6 miles (9 km) northwest of Crieff and 13 miles (21 km) northwest of Auchterarder in Perth and Kinross.

It is located in the old county of Perthshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 130.3 sq. km (50.3 sq. miles). Monzievaird and Strowan has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Comrie, Crieff, Dull, Fowlis Wester, Kenmore and Muthill. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889 and again by the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1894.
