Parish of Tarbat Tarbat is a coastal parish, which lies in Highland Council Area, some 8 miles (12 km) east of Tain in Highland and 17 miles (27 km) northwest of Forres in Moray.It is located in the old county of Ross and Cromarty, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 27.7 sq. km (10.7 sq. miles).
