Keith is a parish, which lies in Moray Council Area, some 9 miles (15 km) northeast of Dufftown in Moray and 10 miles (15 km) northwest of Huntly in Aberdeenshire.
It is located in the old county of Banffshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 78.6 sq. km (30.3 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Keith. Keith has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Bellie, Boharm, Botriphnie, Cairnie, Grange and Rathven. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
