Parish of Bendochy

Bendochy is a parish, which lies in Perth and Kinross Council Area, some 2 miles (4 km) east of Blairgowrie in Perth and Kinross and 12 miles (19 km) southwest of Kirriemuir in Angus.

It is located in the old county of Perthshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 30.6 sq. km (11.8 sq. miles). Bendochy has 4 neighbouring parishes; namely Alyth, Blairgowrie, Coupar Angus and Rattray. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889 and again by the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1894.
