Strelitz

Perth and Kinross

A hamlet between the Sidlaw Hills and the River Tay, Strelitz lies a mile (1.5 km) to the southwest of Burrelton and 8 miles (13 km) north of Perth. It was originally designed in 1763 to house soldiers discharged from fighting at the end of the Third Silesian or Seven Years' War and takes its name from a Prussian town then noted for its manufacture of linen and other fabrics.
