Kilnaughton

A settlement which overlooks Kilnaughton Bay on the south coast of Islay in the Inner Hebrides, Kilnaughton lies 1¼ miles (2 km) west of Port Ellen. St. Nechtan's Chapel may date from as early as the 12th C. and is now surrounded by a burial ground, which has been extended several times. To the south are houses dating from the second decade of the 21st C., mostly serving as holiday homes.
