A small settlement located at a road junction in NW Aberdeenshire, Glenbarry (or Glen Barry) lies close to the border with Moray, in a glen of the same name between Knock Hill and Barry Hill, 4½ miles (7 km) west northwest of Aberchirder. It originally developed in association with a station on the Great North of Scotland Railway.
