A location in Glen Goulandie between Loch Tummel and Loch Tay, Perth and Kinross, White Bridge lies 3 miles (5 km) to the south of Tummel Bridge on the line of General Wade's 18th-century Military Road. A bridge crosses the Allt Glengoulandie here. The Ordnance Survey has calculated that the geographical centre of the Scottish mainland lies close to here, using a 'centre of gravity' method. Alternative claimants are the Centre of Scotland Stone (25 miles / 40 km to the north northwest) and the Heart of Scotland (6 miles / 9.5 km to the southeast).
