North Calder Water A river largely in North Lanarkshire, the North Calder Water rises in the Black Loch 4 miles (6.5 km) west northwest of Armadale. It flows 16 miles (26 km) southwest through Hillend Reservoir, Caldercruix, Airdrie and Calderbank before joining the River Clyde near Broomhouse, a mile northwest of Uddingston.
