Parish of Strathdon Strathdon is a parish, which lies in Aberdeenshire Council Area, some 15 miles (24 km) northeast of Braemar in Aberdeenshire and 18 miles (29 km) south of Dufftown in Moray.It is located in the old county of Aberdeenshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 217.8 sq. km (84.1 sq. miles).
